Company History

Manufacturing Control Systems was incorporated as a Michigan business in 1984. Originally MCS was involved in the automation controls for high speed munitions manufacturing and later progressed into special equipment for the manufacture and test of air bag technologies. In the late 1980’s we began to involve ourselves with industries outside of these two specific areas of expertise.

MCS has a long history in both automotive and non-automotive applications involvement since 1991. Our primary end product is industrial control panel manufacturing services, however, on a small scale we offer design services as well as installation and support. Our ability to supply a full turn-key installation for small to medium applications in all sectors of industrial control has been a strong point for years. In today’s competitive small machine/automation market, we have been able to assist suppliers win and retain work based on our competitive pricing, consistent “on-time” delivery and high standard of quality.

We are currently housed in approximately 6800 Sq. ft. in Rochester Hills of manufacturing space with an additional 650 square feet of engineering and support services. Located in Rochester Hills, Michigan we supply a large number of local machine/automation fabricators, as well as 1* tier suppliers in the Michigan area. With all required ancillary equipment required for our panel manufacturing business on site, we are not dependant on outside sources to complete our processes that affect our committed deliveries.

MCS will accept both fixed quote and time & material contracts for all of our offered services. We can offer architecture development and a complete design, build and installation quotation based on mechanical process or process simulations. Please contact us and we will supply a controls line-up work sheet to be completed by mechanical engineering to generate a complete controls integration quotation for your process. We can meet with your mechanical design sources to make sure that the most cost competitive technical solution is provided to your end user without sacrificing product reliability, operator safety or ease of operation and machine maintenance.

We obtained our “Certificate of Compliance” for UL508A, Industrial Control Panels in 2014.
